The StudentScorer calculates your index across 8 dimensions before any AI call. Country-specific multipliers are applied (e.g. UK weights academics 28% higher; Germany ignores GRE scores). The score is deterministic — the same answers always produce the same result.
The AI prompt is constrained by your score tier — a student scoring 62/100 cannot receive top-50 university recommendations. The system evaluates your org's university database first (if DB or Mixed mode), then fills remaining slots from global knowledge. Risk buffers apply hard overrides.

Country-specific multipliers adjust for destination country. The score is deterministic — same answers always produce the same result regardless of how many times the questionnaire is submitted.
Each university has a University Competitiveness Score (UCS) based on its world ranking, acceptance rate, and elite department flag. Gap = Your Score minus UCS. Gap ≥ +10 → Safe. Gap −5 to +9 → Target. Gap < −5 → Ambitious. Risk buffers can override these — if prerequisites are missing, the match is forced to Ambitious regardless of the number.
