Moodle Setup Guide
For Moodle 3.10 and later (including Moodle 4.x), use LTI 1.3. You need a Moodle site administrator and a PrepareBuddy organization administrator.
LTI 1.3 (recommended)
1. Add PrepareBuddy as a tool in Moodle
- Site administration → Plugins → Activity modules → External tool → Manage tools → configure a tool manually.

- Services → IMS LTI Assignment and Grade Services: Use this service for grade sync and column management.
- Privacy: Share launcher's name with tool Always, Share launcher's email with tool Always, Accept grades from the tool Always.
- Save changes.
2. Register Moodle in PrepareBuddy
In Manage tools, click the list icon on the PrepareBuddy card (View configuration details). Copy the values into /lti/manage/ → LTI 1.3 · step 2:

3. Teachers add a test, quiz or assessment
Add an activity or resource → PrepareBuddy → Select content. Pick one and click Add to course; Moodle fills in the activity and creates the grade item with the right maximum. Save and display.
LTI 1.1
- Create an LTI 1.1 key on
/lti/manage/. - Configure a tool manually with LTI version LTI 1.0/1.1, Tool URL
https://www.preparebuddy.com/lti/launch/, and the consumer key and shared secret. Set the same privacy options as above. - Teachers add the tool as an activity and set the activity's Tool URL to the link URL (e.g.
https://www.preparebuddy.com/lti/test/123/or…/lti/quiz/45/), with Maximum grade set to the maximum shown next to it.
