Target Score Plans — Overview
A test plan keeps one student on track for a target score, all the way to their real exam.
You set the target and the exam date. The platform then tests the student one test at a time, under exam conditions, on papers they have never seen. It decides each next test and its date from the student's own results and deadline: more often when they fall behind, less often — with harder challenge papers — when they are ahead. Every result is emailed to the staff you choose, you are alerted when a student is at risk or stops improving, and their weak skills turn into practice drills automatically.
When the real exam result comes back, you record it on the plan, next to the mocks the student took before it.
Which students
Test plans are available for students enrolled on an IELTS Academic, IELTS General Training or SAT course. You switch a plan on for each student who needs one; nothing changes for anyone else.
The shape of it
Target + exam date (set by staff)
└── Test plan
├── Baseline mock → the starting point
├── Skills check → the weakest section on its own
├── Full mock → counted toward the trend
├── Challenge test → a harder unseen paper, when the student is at target
├── … until the last test day (three days before the exam)
├── Practice drills → up to two after each counted test, on the weakest skills
└── Official exam result → recorded by staff; the plan closes
What you get
- The right amount of testing for each student. Behind their own pace line → a test every 4 days. On pace → every 7. At target → every 10, alternating with harder challenge papers. You can also pin a pace, or choose every N days.
- Unseen papers, always. The plan knows every paper and section a student has met, keeps one unseen paper for the final mock, and never lets the student's practice drills use the papers it is saving.
- Every result to your staff. Choose who gets the emails — any admin or examiner, plus outside addresses such as a parent.
- Alerts that mean something. At risk when a counted mock puts the student behind their own pace line. No improvement when about three attempts in a row have not moved them on. Missed when a test goes untaken.
- Practice between tests. Weak skills from each counted test become drills, due by the next test, alongside any drills a teacher sets.
- The student's own view. My test plan shows their target, next test, results and trend.
- Your timezone. Each plan keeps its own timezone, so dates read in the student's local time.
